The Vocational College, based in Wirral, has opened its very own hair and beauty salon in Wallasey. Beauty Lane Hair & Beauty Training Academy in Wallasey Village is now open to the public, following its grand opening.
Up to 60 fully funded* training places are available at the salon, ranging from level one to level three Hair and Beauty courses for 14-19 year-olds. Evening courses are also available for 19+ year-olds. Salon customers can book a number of luxurious treatments at Beauty Lane, which is located in Wallasey Village, including facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, hair colouring and highlights.
Laura Lane, Deputy Centre Manager at Beauty Lane commented: “The salon represents a fantastic training opportunity for anyone in the region who is looking to embark on a career in the beauty industry or to build and enhance their existing skills. As with all our courses, Beauty Lane offers genuinely ‘hands-on’ training, with all the advantages of working and learning simultaneously in a busy commercial environment. Our customers will be providing our learners with vital real-life situations for them to learn from. However, they will receive the same standard of treatment as they would in any other salon, safe in the knowledge that the learners will be supervised by an experienced professional. Customers will also benefit from reduced costs associated with a training environment.”
