The month of June saw an exciting, vibrant event at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa, co-ordinated by the Mayor’s Charity Committee for the Wirral. Attended by more than 100 local business people, Councillors and Wirral residents, the Lunch At Ascot Races event raised vital funds for Incubabies, the Blind Sailing School, and various other local charities. Hosted by the Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral, the fun-packed day’s purpose was to support local organisations of community benefit and was attended by many known individuals including the Dame Lorna Muirhead (Patron of Incubabies), as well as the Lord Mayor of Chester, Mayor of Sefton, and the Deputy Lieutenant Billy Hui.
