Remember 9 year old William who we featured in our May edition?
William, who is from Prenton in Wirral, has a terminal condition called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a serious muscle-wasting condition caused by the lack of a protein called dystrophin. It causes progressive muscle weakness. The lack of the protein means that muscle fibres break down, causing muscle to weaken gradually.
There is no available treatment or cure for the condition which usually affects boys.
Recently William decided to start his own business and has been designing and making t-shirts.
He is launching his business at the Barn on Pye Road in Heswall on Sunday the 9th of December with nibbles and drinks available and Astrid the little jazz singer will be performing.
