The prestigious business awards event showcases the best of enterprise from within Wirral’s business community and the Chamber membership. It is regarded as one of the most significant regional business events which promotes creativity and initiative, making Wirral and the surrounding Liverpool City Region centres of corporate excellence.
A three-strong judging panel, comprising Jane Morgan (Senior Manager Culture, Wirral Council), Chris Lee (Director of Start-Yard) and Paula Basnett (CEO, Wirral Chamber of Commerce) who deliberated on the many applications received, made the difficult choice of which entries would make it through to the final.

As a relative newbie to Wirral’s business community, Chris Lee (Director of Birkenhead based Start-Yard) added, “The calibre of entries made the judging process very challenging and all the organisations who entered should be very proud of themselves. On 30th September, the award celebrations will be held at the waterfront Woodside Food & Market venue in Birkenhead, in which the Wirral Business Awards 2022 will be hosted by the former Liverpool FC and England international footballer, John Barnes MBE. Live music entertainment and a party atmosphere will be provided by the very popular group, The Deadbeats.
