Wirral Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Kate Eugeni as its Director of Visitor Economy.
Wirral’s tourism sector is currently worth more than £402 million, employs over 5,150 full-time equivalent jobs, and attracts over 8.5 million day and short break visitors each year.
Kate is no stranger to Wirral businesses and brings with her a wealth of knowledge, expertise and contacts within this key sector. The role will heavily focus on the strengthening of the current visitor economy network locally and nationally.
Kate said: “I am excited to be taking over this role, visitor economy is worth over £400 million to Wirral, however, it has the opportunities and potential to become much bigger. A vibrant visitor economy will make local services viable, supporting local infrastructure and the creation of jobs.”
