It is with great sadness that, following official Government advice, the organisers of ParkgateFest 2020 have had to make the decision to postpone the festival which was scheduled to take place on the weekend of June 6th and June 7th 2020.
Sue Saunders, organiser at ParkgateFest said: “These are testing times for all of us, but we must remain positive, 5 months of planning will not go to waste. All our plans, ideas, passion and energy are simply on hold now until next year and it’ll be worth the wait!
“We are unable to advise on potential rescheduled dates right now but will keep you all informed as the situation clarifies over the coming months.
“Anyone who has purchased tickets online will be entitled to a full refund as will stalls who had already confirmed and paid.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support. We have been overwhelmed this year with the community response to the event and naturally we are all very disappointed to be in this situation.
“However, keeping up that community spirit during what will be a tough and uncertain few weeks or months for us all, the ParkgateFest organisers would like to use this time to offer our services to help with the more vulnerable in our community. Whether you need food deliveries, medicines collected, dogs walking or just a friendly hello, whilst at all times adhering to the official advice on health and safety and social distancing. More than ever we need to support our local businesses through these next few months, so stay safe, thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you all soon.”
